Unboxing: 'Sweet Shoppe' November BDJ Box (Benefit-Exclusive)

With their second-to-the-last box for this year, BDJ spread the holiday cheer with yet another Benefit-exclusive box!  And FYI, this Nov-2014 BDJ Box is the third Benefit-exclusive issue just for this year alone.

And although I am happy it's Benefit again (I still have lots of items I wanna try from this brand), I can't say I'm a hundred percent excited 'bout the repeats. But let me dive into that later.

Just like the previous two Benefit boxes, this is an all-samples run. Most are deluxe-sized, though, so I don't mind. Ohhh, but I'm still crossing my fingers that there will a box that will have at least one full-sized Benefit product in the near future. I know you are too ;)

Let's see what's inside!

Benefit They're Real Push-Up Liner (2)
Benefit POREfessional PRO balm (2)
Benefit Bathina 'All Over Me' Scented Body Mist
Benefit Benetint Lip & Cheek Stain
Benefit Lollitint Lip & Cheek Stain
Benefit High Beam Complexion Enhancer
Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream
Benefit Instant Comeback Facial Serum
Voucher for a free makeupper and brow consultation

Kkk, let's start with one of the items here that I'm most excited about - the They're Real Push-Up Liner!

I had been wanting to try this since it was released, and now I have samples of it to try, yey! I've already used this once for our company Christmas party, and it actually stayed put on my oily monolids for a good number of hours! I guess my lid primer and eyeshadows also helped keep the liner stay in place, so I still need to test this out further to see if it's indeed the answer to my long-time monolid-eyeliner problem. Oh, and I did have a li'l trouble dispensing the product at first because the sample comes in a (weird for an eyeliner) squeeze-type form, but I think the full-sized version is twist- or click-type, and I think I could get used to that.

Up next is a product that's in every Benefit BDJ Box so far.

You KNOW I love my Porefessional, so I don't mind getting hundreds of samples of this. But someone who's not a big fan might actually mind the three-peat, especially since the Benefit boxes released by BDJ this year were just a couple of months apart. The Porefessional is like BDJ's Benefit box filler, ah.

Next is my favorite item from the bunch - the Bathina body mist!

You know how bad I am at describing scents (this coming from a chemist haha), so I won't even try, but Benefit describes this as having 'bright golden peach and sun-kissed Sicilian lemon, a tumble of white blossoms, a lingering hint of velvet plum.' And let me tell you... I absolutely love it! Been using it everyday for a week now. And how nice is this mini, right??? I just wish the scent lasted longer on my skin. But I still might get it in full size once I run out.

Now let's move on to the cheek products.

These next two items are repeats from the June box.

Ahhh, I think I've told you before about my hate-relationship with lip and cheek stains in general. On my cheeks, some do work but because my cheeks are a little bit drier than other parts of my face, I don't enjoy the application part. And they almost always end up patchy on me. On my lips, they don't work at all! I've tried Benetint from the June box and I find it alright. I like how it looks on my cheeks when applied properly (which, by the way, took a bit of practice in my case). Lollitint (also from the June box), on the other hand, left me with a not-so-good impression. I couldn't make it not look patchy. I haven't tried it again since, but... ok, fine, I'll give it another chance. Soooo, I guess it's pretty obvi that I'm not too big on these particular repeats.

Next cheek product is a highlighter. And it's also one of the most popular Benefit products I know of.

I know you guys also know that I'm not a big highlighter user. I already have oily skin, and I find highlighting... unnecessary, I guess. But I've recently realized that my long-time favorite blushes have a bit of shimmer to them, and that I actually don't mind! So wish me good luck as I give High Beam a try.

Next are samples of the Instant Comeback serum and Total Moisture facial cream.

Errrm... I am sure I've told you I'm not big on eye creams. I like my skin care routine simple, for one. I do use serums sometimes, though. I can do a week or two of regular use, but after that I can't promise. Soooo, Ma, if you're reading this, remind me to give these to you, k?

Last item here's a voucher for a free makeupper, which is the Benefit term for a makeover, I believe, and a brow consultation.

I'm planning to drop by a store sometime soon, and I could use this, but silly me, I don't remember where I put it. Haha. Anyway, no big deal.

So there you have it. The November 2014 BDJ Box. It's obviously not my favorite BDJ Box, but I do love love love the Bathina mist and am happy that the They're Real liner's here! And that can make up for the repeats and the fact that I'm not a big fan of most of the other items in the box.

I'll be posting about the December BDJ Box soon, and that one will be a happier post because... well, you'll find out soon enough. Bye for now! :)
