Unboxing: 'Stand Out Like a Star' December BDJ Box (Max Factor-Exclusive)

Time to unbox this month's BDJ Box! :)

The December issue is, just like the October box, a makeup-exclusive box. This time, though, the items featured are from Max Factor, the makeup of makeup artists!

BDJ Box believes that every Bella can be as gorgeous as Hollywood celebrities. That's why this month's box, themed Stand Out Like a Star, was designed to give us the chance not just to look like a star but also to feel like it.

Max Factor Creme Puff Pressed Powder in Medium Beige
Max Factor Earth Spirits Eyeshadow in 108 Inca Bronze
Max Factor Kohl Pencil
Max Factor Masterpiece Max Mascara
Max Factor Lasting Colour Collections Lipstick in 510 English Rose
Max Factor Glossfinity Nail Polish in 145 Noisette
Max Factor Facefinity All Day Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation (bonus item)

This box is so far the lightest BDJ Box I've received. Inside are deluxe samples of makeup (plus one full-sized item) that are actually already enough to comprise a really basic makeup kit.

The only full-sized item here is the pressed powder.

Creme Puff Pressed Powder
At first I thought the shade Medium Beige wouldn't match, but after swatching it on the back of my hand, I realized it could still work. Can't wait to try this on my face.

The rest are deluxe samples, which are already as good as full-sized to me. You see, I go through makeup really slowly! And look, so cute, the teensy weensy packaging! Hihi.

Glossfinity nail polish
Masterpiece Max mascara
Kohl pencil
Earth Spirit eyeshadow
Colour Collection lipstick

But among all these items, the one I'm most excited to try is the eyeshadow.

108 Inca Bronze
By now you shouldn't be surprised! Haha. I love going neutral on my eye makeup - something I've told you a thousand times already - that's why shades like this are my favorite!

I'm also excited to try the mascara (I'm always excited to try new mascaras, seeing as I have very thin and short lashes!). And of course the nail polish, too.

In the bottle, it appears to be a dark purple shade with bright purple shimmer. On the nails, it has more of a chocolate brown tone to it. You'll see what I mean soon enough when I post a swatch.

And those are the contents of the December BDJ Box, which is valued at a little less than 3000 PhP (excluding the price of the bonus item).

BDJ also included a Forget-Me-Not Focus/Finish notepad, by the way! This will go well with the BDJ 2014 planner I'm planning to purchase soon :)

Disclaimer: Box was received for free, but the views and opinions expressed in this post are purely mine and based on my own experience with the products inside it.

  1. wooow.. bongga ng laman ni BDJ box ngayon ah :) I used to use Max Factor's foundation and so far ok naman yung products nila.. I'm sure you're going to enjoy your items this month :)

  2. Is the eyeshadow buttery? The shade seems shimmery, and I am hoping that its shimmer would afford it greater blendability and pigmentation

  3. I got this box too... you can actually create a complete look with the products included... only blush is missing!

  4. One of my resolutions for the coming year is to finally, finally subscribe to a beauty box. Haha! :)

  5. Oonga even with these miniatures, complete na yung kikay kit :D I love small makeup packaging especially if i only want to try it or sample it first.
