Review: Lorys Hair Cream (Shea Butter and Fruit Cocktail)
Hello, hello, hello! I'm so excited to tell you about one of my favorite hair products - Lorys Hair Cream! I keep on raving about this product on Twitter and on Facebook simply because it really works for me :)
I've tried two variants already - Shea Butter and Fruit Cocktail. Love them both!
Description (from Lorys Hair Cream): Lorys Hair Cream is a product that is made in Brazil. It is an internationally recognized brand available in countries such as USA, UK, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, and many more. Just recently Lorys has entered into the Philippines. Lorys is made from all natural ingredients, which give your hair a natural glow. It can be used as a conditioner or as a hot oil treatment. It is very simple to use even at the comfort of your own home. Lorys enhances the growth and density of your hair and restores its natural shine and softness.
Directions: After shampooing, apply cream throughout humid hair, mainly in the ends, massaging well for 2 minutes. Rinse well. For special conditioning treatment, apply the product and allow it to penetrate for 15 minutes. To enhance the result, use Laminated Cap or Professional Vaporizer.
Now let me talk about my experience with Lorys :)
Shea Butter
Nourish and shine. For curly and dry hair.
My hair's not curly but I tried this variant because I felt that my hair's a bit dry. And also because the Fruit Cocktail variant (which was what I originally planned on buying) was not available that time.
The Shea Butter variant smells amazing! I don't know how to describe the scent (I'm really bad at describing scents, sorry ;P) BUT for me it's definitely a pleasant scent.
This is how it looks like...

The cream has a light orange-yellow color. The tub's pretty big! I thought it would take me forever to finish the whole thing. I used this regularly - everyday as a conditioner, twice a week as a conditioning treatment. It never failed me. My hair became obviously softer and smoother than usual! It's just amazing! I was able to finish the whole tub after 3 months.
Fruit Cocktail
Softness and shine. For all hair types.
Now I'm using the Fruit Cocktail variant. This one also smells really, really nice! The scents of the two variants are different but they both smell so good. I can smell this forever. Forever.
This is how it looks like...
This one is colored light yellow AND pink.
I was surprised to see the pinky goodness waiting for me halfway through the tub.
This one also keeps my hair soft and smooth, but I feel that my hair's smoother with Shea Butter. Shea Butter's specifically made for curly and dry hair, and it's meant to be more conditioning. Am I right?
Anyway, both of these variants do the job really well. I was never really the conditioner user before - too lazy. Now I can't get enough of Lorys! Again, I use this as a conditioner AND as a treatment. When using it as a treatment, I use a shower cap and leave the product on my hair for about 20 mins. My hair's always soft and smooth after deep-conditioning :)
Thumbs up:
- Really keep my hair soft and smooth <3
- Smell amazing!
- Don't leave my hair greasy
- Can be used as a conditioner AND as a special treatment
- Huge tub that would last me months
- Affordable - Priced at P185 for 450g of product. Available at SM Department Stores, Watsons (I think) and Landmark. I got Fruit Cocktail for only P148 (20% off) during a Landmark sale :)
There's nothing much that I hate about Lorys hair creams. There are other variants available so you can pick one that suits your hair concerns. I might try the Snake Oil variant next. I heard it's good for lessening hair fall. We'll see :)
Have you tried any of the Lorys hair creams? Thanks to Genn for introducing me to Lorys, by the way :)
