Review: Bobbie Cuticle Oil
I know I haven't been blogging lately and I blame my cold for that. I'm feeling much better now, thanks to my trusty Vicks Inhaler and the four rolls of tissue I've used up. Time to get blogging again :)
Enriched with avocado extract, almond oil and Vitamin E, this cuticle oil claims to help soften and moisturize your cuticles to prevent hangnails.
Hangnails often form when cuticles become rough and dry. Hangnail removal can be done by pulling or by cutting the hangnails from the skin using nail clippers, but that may lead to bleeding and infection if not done properly.
Good thing there's such a thing as a cuticle oil. So even if you don't have time for a regular manicure, you can still keep your cuticles and the skin around your nails soft and healthy.
I've been using this product for almost two months now to keep my cuticles well-moisturized. And yes, it works for me. I apply this on my cuticles twice a day - every morning after I take a bath and before I go to bed. I've noticed that my cuticles and the skin around my nails have become softer and healthier-looking. No more torn and dry skin around my nails as long as I keep using it. It's best to be used regularly. I find that if I skip a few days, the skin around my nails start becoming dry again.
If I'm not in the mood to give my nails a full mani, I just use this to get that instant manicure look.
The product has a strong almond scent.
If there's one thing about this product that I'm not a fan of, that would be the smell. It doesn't stink but for some reason, I don't like how it smells. Smells like medicine to me. O_O Update: The smell is actually growing on me :)
Right after applying this, I don't wipe the excess oil away to maximize the its moisturizing power. And since this is an oil and it leaves the skin around my nails oily, I only use it when I don't have important things to do right after.
If I remember correctly, this 35-ml bottle costs 31.75 Php. Cheap find. Does the job :)
Update: This product has become a staple in my manicure kit. I'm on my second bottle now :)
