Unboxing: 'Luscious Locks' August BDJ Box

Got back-to-back BDJ Box posts for you! I realized I hadn't posted about the August box yet (so sorry about that!), so here it is. The September box arrived a couple of weeks ago too, and my post on that is coming after this.

The August box was something I badly needed. Lately, I've been noticing that my hair and scalp are on the dry side. I don't know if it's just the weather changes or if it's the products I'm using.

So the hair care-themed August BDJ Box, which contained products that claimed to help keep our locks healthy and luscious, came just in time.

Items:
Garnier Nourishing Permanent Hair Colour
L'Oreal Professionel Mythic Oil Nourishing Oil
L'Oreal Professionel Mythic Oil Nourishing Masque
Shiseido Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick
Blo Blow-Dry Bar discount vouchers
Fan di Fendi Blossom samples

My favorite items in here would have to be this L'Oreal Pro Mythic Oil duo!

I had been wanting to try the famous Mythic Oil ever since the stylist who permed my hair recommended it. And though my hair isn't permed anymore, I'm still excited to use this to see if it can rescue my drying hair. (See what I did there? Haha.)

Next hair product in here is a repeat from the Jan-Feb box.

I don't DIY-color my hair anymore (because I suck at it haha), but my parents do so I gave them this to try. My mom said this Garnier cream actually worked better than their usual coloring cream.

The next one is not for the hair but for the skin.

A sample of Shiseido's newest serum, the Ultimune! I also got another sample of this from Sample Room, and I'm really excited to try this. I heard it's really good. Glad I have more of it to try out. Haha.

Another non-hair product here is this Revlon lipstick.

I got mine in the shade Pink Cognito. And while I loved how it looked in the tube, I was quite bummed to find out it had a sheer finish. It's moisturizing, alright, but too sheer for my liking! So I need to line and fill my lips in first with a lipliner. But who has time for that in the morning? Haha.

Last are these samples of the Fan di Fendi Blossom fragrance (which smell alright) and discount vouchers from Blo Blow-Dry Bar (which I probably won't use).

That's everything. Over-all, this, for me, is somewhere between alright and good. Honestly, for a hair-themed box, I expected more hair care products. I am really happy about the Mythic Oil duo and the Shiseido sample, though! Can't wait to try those.

September BDJ Box unboxing coming up next ;)
