Unboxing: 'Summer Radiance' May BDJ Box

Summer's almost over? Aw, I wasn't even able to go to the beach. Haha. Nah, that's not really a big deal for me as I'm not a big beach person. I prefer staying indoors and swimming at night when the sun has already gone down.

But for those of you who did go and had fun under the scorching heat and are now worrying about how to get your glowing skin back, fret not. The May BDJ Box is here to help you.

The May BDJ Box is (literally) packed with beauty samples that could help us bring back our skin's radiance after all those summer getaways.

This may not look like much, but once you open the little boxes, you'll realize how packed the box is.

See? I told you. So here's everything inside the May box.

Items:
Dermal Korea Sheet Masks (2)
Godiva LicoWhite Whitening Lotion (samples)
Godiva LicoWhite Antiperspirant Deodorant (samples)
Organix Hair Care Set (samples)
Revlon Colorstay Nail Enamel (2)
Too Cool for School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack
Vouchers from Avon, Bifesta, Lucido-L, PAC, I Do Nails, Dr. CRB

My fave items in this month's box are these facial masks.

You know I love my Dermal masks  They're so relaxing, and they make my skin soft and smooth after every use. These are perfect for use after a stressful work week! I actually  just bought a few Dermal masks a couple of weeks ago. Now I have more.

The item I was most excited to try was this TCFS sleeping pack.

It reminds me of the Laneige Water Sleeping Pack Ex. The TCFS sleeping pack doesn't have the soothing and relaxing scent that I love from the Laneige one, though. I've only used this once so far, so I can't really comment on how well it works just yet.

Next are a couple more things I'm excited to try.

Nail polishes. Nail polishes are always in my excited-to-try lists because... well, because I love nail polishes. And I heard Revlon's are great. These don't look like summer-y shades, though. But I don't mind because lately I've been liking dark hues on my nails. Will be trying out that reddish brown soon.

Next up are these samples from Organix. I had been wanting to try Ogx ever since my friend made me smell one of their shampoos.

BDJ included three variants of shampoo and conditioner - Argan Oil Morocco (for dry hair), Biotin & Collagen (for thin and limp hair) and Keratin Oil (for weak hair) - and a couple of sachets of the Moroccan Argan Oil. I used the Keratin duo the other day, and it was ok. And because my hair's long, I could only get one wash out of one sachet of shampoo. I'll have to use it a few more times to see its effect on my hair.

The last actual products in here are these Godiva LicoWhite lotion and deo samples.

I probably won't be using these anytime soon because I already have full sizes of these two products that I still haven't even touched. I'll save these for when I have to travel. Also, I'm not focused on whitening right now, so I just look at these as what they are minus the whitening factor.

Now, the vouchers.

I like how most of these vouchers are something I could and would use, like the free bra from Avon, free add-ons for a mani at I Do Nails, free makeover from PAC, discounts on Lucido-L and Bifesta products. The only thing here I knew I wouldn't be using is the discount voucher for Dr. CRB services.

And those are all the contents of the May BDJ Box. Overall, for me, it's not as exciting as BDJ's other boxes, but it's still a good box that's literally packed and worth almost thrice the subscription fee! This box has five full-sized items; the rest are in sachets. I don't really mind the sachets because BDJ did give a lot - enough for me to see whether I like a product or not. And that's the whole point of beauty boxes. It's my first time seeing deo in sachets, though. Haha.

  1. Hi Aya! Shane of PurplePieces.com here. Are the boxes worth it? I mean for 550/580 per month, hindi ka naman ba lugi? Thanks!

  2. Hi Ms. Shane! I think hindi naman. Kasi yung boxes na nakuha ko so far, ang worth ay usually more than double the sub fee :)

  3. I'm still planning to subscribe pa lang. I think my only problem would be for the products na hindi ko magagamit. I don't use much kasi, esp on my face. Thank you!
