This box couldn't have arrived at a better time. The day I got this box, I was kind of in a bad mood brought by the previous work day, and all I wanted to do was sleep and rest. When I woke up from my nap, I saw a package on the table. I knew it was for me, but I had no idea where it could be from 'til I looked at the waybill. Honestly, I didn't expect it to be a BDJ Box because I felt like I had just received the May box (where did the time go???). But I'm not complaining at all! Especially since this month's box is yet another...
It was just two months ago when BDJ released their first ever Benefit box (*my post here*). I didn't expect another one to be released so soon. Yet here it is.
This month's theme is weather-proof beauty.
BDJ picked the best Benefit products that could help us cope with the crazy weather changes.
Benefit Porefessional PRO Balm
Benefit Fake Up Concealer
Benefit Big Easy
Benefit Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer
Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream
The first item, Porefessional, is a repeat from the March box. But I don't mind at all because I love this product!
My Porefessional samples from this and other sources, in total, now contain more than half the amount in full size already, but I still don't feel that's quite enough. I just love how it makes my skin really smooth and ready for makeup application! It goes on cream but has a silky powder finish. I can't get enough of it.
Next is the Fake Up concealer...
...famous for its concealing core and hydrating ring, which make for a crease-proof combination.
Can't wait to try this out.
Next is the Big Easy BB cream, which is one of Benefit's new products.
It claims to control oil (yes for the oily-skinned like me!) and to have a velvety powder finish, which, if it's anything like Porefessional's, I'm sure I'm gonna love. I just hope the shade wouldn't be far off my skin tone.
Here's another repeat from the March box, another one of Benefit's new products.
Stay Flawless primer samples from the previous Benefit box came in packets, while this time it's in a stick form, which is more convenient.
The next item is the only skin care product in the box.
I'll give this to my mom since I'm not really big on eye creams. Oh, and I saw from other unboxing posts that others got a They're Real mascara sample, which I would've preferred, instead of this one.
The last two items are lip and cheek tints. Honestly, I'm not a fan of lip and cheek stains. I just can't get them to work! On the cheeks, keri pa although I am still getting the hang of applying and blending really quickly. And it doesn't help that my cheeks are the driest parts of my face either. On the lips, there's no chance! My lips are naturally pigmented but uneven in color, and everytime I use a lip tint, it doesn't end up well.
Anyway, back to the box. So there's Lollitint, a new release, I believe, which is described as a candy-orchid shade.
I've been trying this on the back of my hand since I got it. The color seems alright, but no matter how quickly I blend, it always leaves streaks or patches of color. I'll just try again later. Maybe I was just not really quick enough. Haha.
The second one is the Benetint.
Now this one, I find, is more blendable, and I was able to wear it 'successfully' thrice already (milestone!). Just on the cheeks, though. It didn't work on my lips, as expected.
As a bonus, there are two vouchers in the box as well.
One for a free makeupper ay Benefit stores, one for a discount on brow waxing with any purchase.
And that's everything. Compared to the first Benefit box, the samples are in more convenient (and cuter, hello?) packaging this time. Some of the products, though, aren't something I would have chosen myself (not big on eye creams and tints). Maybe the universe is telling me that now's the time to give cheek stains another try? Haha.
Overall, this box contains a couple of repeats, but I like it nonetheless. I didn't expect to see another Benefit-exclusive after just three months, though, but I don't really mind. I actually prefer makeup over skin care in my beauty box.
