Hi! I'm here with another review. If you're a long time follower of my blog, then you would know that when it comes to lippies, I prefer matte finishes to glossy and shimmery ones. I don't wear lip gloss often because I hate the sticky feeling on my lips, and also because topping my lipstick off with a gloss shortens my lippie's wear time.
Anyway, I got these lip glosses as prizes from Eloisa (KikaySiMaria) and Tara (BBCreamAddict)'s HUGE giveaway. Read about the rest of my prizes *here.*
These are the Le Faerie Cosmetics Opaque Lipglosses.
I got the shades 001 (Medium Nude) and 002 (Dark Nude) which are the only shades available.
Description (from Le Faerie Cosmetics): These lip glosses have the consistency of famous and expensive brands. It has no irritating fruity smell and flavor, and was specially formulated to blend with all skin colors and make the lips look pouty. Dark Nude is specially formulated to blend with morena or mocha-skinned ladies while Medium Nude is specially formulated for fair- skinned mestiza or chinita, or those on the lighter shade.
The packaging is pretty simple - tube with a doe-foot applicator.
For lip glosses, I prefer this type of packing over the squeeze-type one.
Here are the swatches.
Medium Nude (001) - coral shade
Dark Nude (002) - coral-rose shade
|One layer applied|
At first, I couldn't tell the difference between the shades on my lips, but I then realized that 001 is actually more peachy. I think both are great MLBB (my-lips-but-better) shades, but I personally like 002 better.
I loooove that these lippies are really opaque! One of the major things I consider when buying lip products is the opacity. Although I usually layer glosses over lipsticks, it's still great to have a lip gloss which I can wear by itself.
As for the wear, I didn't really expect these lippies to last long on my lips since they are glosses. Generally, lip glosses have shorter wear time than legit lipsticks, and they transfer more easily. I get about three hours of wear with these glosses, with minimal eating and drinking.
- Really pigmented and opaque - Can be worn by themselves
- Very wearable and natural-looking shades
- No weird smell or taste
- Glides smoothly on the lips
- No sticky feeling
- Reasonably priced - Priced at P299 for 8ml of product
- Transfers easily and wear time is not very long, which can be expected from a gloss
So all in all, I pretty much like these lip glosses! I wish Le Faerie Cosmetics came up with other shades, too. I, for one, am not a big fan of lip glosses but I love these! They're really opaque and not sticky at all. If you're interested in buying these lippies, check out Le Faerie Cosmetics' Facebook page *here.*
Soooo, what's your favorite lip gloss brand? :)
