Review: Ever Bilena Studio Finish Stick Foundation
Heeeey! I'm almost out of my Maybelline Clear Smooth Minerals BB Cream so I searched through all my makeup products for a foundation and found this... the Ever Bilena Studio Finish Stick Foundation that I bought a few months ago.
I've used this a few times already but I don't use it as often as I use my other foundations/BB creams.
Description (from Ever Bilena): Widely used by professionals, this lightly scented studio finish foundation creates moderate coverage with a natural matte finish. This foundation contains Vitamin E that helps moisturize the skin. Can also conceal dark circles, redness, and minor skin imperfections. Just swivel up the barrel and viola! The cream foundation will blend easily on the skin without caking or flaking effects.

This is a cream foundation in a stick form.
The packaging is alright for me. It's very travel-friendly, being in a stick form and all. So far I haven't had any problems with it, especially with the twist/swivel feature.
I got mine in the shade Creme.
This one, I think, is best for people with light to medium skin tone and slightly yellow undertone. Here's what it looks like.
|Top: With flash|
Bottom: Without flash
It fits my skin tone perfectly and that's one of the things I like about it. Here's what it looks like on me.
|Left side: Without foundation|
Right side: With foundation (one layer)
No concealer used on both sides
I applied the foundation on one half of my face and left the other half bare. As you can see in the picture above, the foundation really helped even out my skin color and conceal the dark areas. I didn't even use concealer. This foundation gives a pretty decent coverage even when worn by itself.
And here's what my whole face looks like with this foundation...
I just love the coverage and the finish! Here are more pics of me with this foundation on :)
Another thing I like about this product is that it doesn't make my face look oily. It gives a semi-matte finish and it doesn't make my face look flat, which usually happens when I use mattifying products. BUT note that this doesn't really control my oiliness. I still get oily after a few hours of wearing it. Since this is a cream foundation, it's not really the most recommended product for people with oily skin like me.

The only thing I don't like about this product is the smell. Ever Bilena described this foundation as a lightly-scented foundation, and for me, the scent is not pleasant at all. It doesn't stink or anything but I just don't like the smell. Personal preference. This is the reason why I don't wear this foundation often.
So... to sum everything up, here are the things I...
Like about this product:
- Good coverage - I don't need to conceal with this anymore.
- Semi-matte finish - It doesn't make it look matte-flat.
- Decent wear time
- Doesn't cake nor flake on me
- Easy to blend - I usually use a sponge in blending this foundation.
- Travel-friendly packaging
- Affordable - It's priced at P165 for 8g of product.
- Widely available - This is available in EB counters (and there are EB counters almost everywhere!).
Don't like about this product:
- Scent -
Hate. It. It's not a bad scent, actually. I just don't like it. But others might :)I'm actually getting used to the scent now. I still find it not-pleasant but now I can tolerate it. :)
I really like the coverage of this foundation! The scent? Not so much. I just use this when I need more coverage and when I'm out of my 'current' face products.
Have you tried this foundation? Did the smell bother you? Lemme know! My nose is weird sometimes :/
